It has never came across my mind that the nostalgic picture of my second grand daughter, Nur Alia riding her bicycle for a noble cause would be splashed across the front page on the Star on Monday 17 January 2011. Alia complete with her riding helmet seemed very confident on her bicycle with her father, Nazim trailing her in pursuing the noble cause in taking part in the Ride 4 Gaza charity cycling event on Sunday 16 January 2011 at Dataran Putra in Precinct 3, Putrajaya.Apart from beaming with joy and pride that my grand daughter was in the front page of the Star, I am also very proud that my son in law, Nazim has taken the initiative to sow the seed of responsibility towards social works to my grand children at a very tender age. Not only Nur Alia was taking part in the Charity Cycling Event but also her other siblings. Nur Aisyah and Afiq together with their cousin Ashraf has also joined the crowd of 1,000 cyclists.
Congratulation to Jim for his noble deeds and I pray that their good deeds would contribute to the betterment of the Palestinians in Gaza. Insya Allah
