Since it was our first trip to Kuala Lumpur, we took the opportunity to look around Kuala Lumpur. Four of us Osman Hanafi, Saufi Abdul Muin, Tajudin Ramli and I took a taxi ride to the National Monument. Little did we realised that except for me, three of us would spend our retirement life in Kuala Lumpur. Osman Hanafi retired as a Senior Custom Officer. Saufi Abd. Muin retired as the Director General of Labour Department while Tajudin Rami became a prominent businessman.

SAHOCA 8 : KL HERE WE COME
From left: Osman Hanafi, Saufee Abdul Muin, Me & Tajudin Ramli
After the results of our Higher School Certificate Examination 1965 were out, we went for an interview for scholarships at JPA,Jalan Young, Kuala Lumpur. For some of us, it was our first trip to Kuala Lumpur. Since Thobrani's father was a State Assemblyman, so we used his good office to book a budget hotel in Jalan Raja Laut. Eight of us crammed into one room but still it was not a hindrence for us to enjoy the occasion. Based on alphabetical order, eight of us were all banded together for the same interview as our names started with the alphabet O to T.
