On Monday, 7.12.2009 Mokhtar Mahmud invited me to his house in Bukit Indah, Bandar Darul Aman for an informal reception among our Collegians. Ridzuan Murad, Sobri Hashim, Halim and Kasmi drove down from Kuala Lumpur for the occasion. Rahman Tekong and Mahadi also joined in and it was indeed a nostalgic gathering for the Collegians who has not aged at all if based on the antics of the night. Mokhtar’s spouse Siti Rokiah did prepare a very sumptuous menu for the night with her owned cooked martabak which could outdo the murtabak of Pak Awang in Changlun.
Mokhtar Mahmud who managed to sustain his nice husky voice started the night with his crooning. Every body joined the singing except Sobri and myself who could not lift our heavy feet of the ground. The atmosphere of the night was very enticing to us in exchanging our memories of yesteryears.
Halim, Rahman, Sobri and Ridzuan Murad has even traveled down to Semeling in the morning to visit Azmi Hamid and Ismail Pak Choy. Rahman Tekong even narrated to me about the cook to order restaurant in front of Pak Choy’s house which has made my mouth watery. They even told me that Azmi Hamid has improved a lot and was back to his normal behaviour of explaining in detail about everything. Hearing the good news about Azmi made me more determine to attend Azmi's daughter's wedding on Saturday, 19.12.1009.
