SIBLINGS 56: STARTLE CURE

On Friday evening 20.11.2009, we granted Mak Chik Sayang’s wish to see Tok Su Esah staying alone at Kampung Kelubi Luar. Mak Chik Sayang could not imagine or comprehend what it is like to be alone in a dark village house for she has never experience such loneliness in her life.

Since Tok Su was lepaking at Chak Intan’s house, so we converged there to chat with Tok Su. Mek Tet seemed to get along well with Tok Su as if they have known each other for a long time. However in order to satisfy Mak Chik’s Sayang’s curiosity on Tok Su’s house, the four of them (Mak Chik Sayang, Zam , Mek Tet and Marini) proceeded to Tok Su’s house.

Within a few minutes, we heard a shrieking sound coming from the group. When I looked, I saw the four of them were frantically rushing back to Chak Intan’s house. By their frantic movements, I thought they might have come across a cobra or a large lizard. When I enquired about the reason why they were startled, Mak Chik Sayang murmured “monyet”. Naturally I thought some wild monkeys were attacking them.

Immediately I rushed to the scene with my rattan cane as my weapon. To my surprised they were no monkeys on the ground but actually some wild monkeys were high up swinging on the coconut trees. The wild monkeys were not a threat to them as the coconut and fruit trees were indeed their habitat and they are used to human beings. Maybe the monkeys were themselves startled by the sudden outburst of actions by the four.

What interested me most was that Mek Tet managed to jump start back with ease. So from the incidence, we can safely say that the most effective cure for rheumatic arthritis is startled action which does not cost anything except anxiety and faster heart beats.
The monkeys were not even on the ground

The monkeys were in fact high up on the coconut tress enjoying themselves watching the startled foursome

Even the squirrels were also clinging on the langsat trees watching the interesting episode

Mek Tet who appeared slimmer having interesting chats with Tok Su maybe about their similarity in sickness but disparity in age
