The arrival of a truck load of the best durians in Kedah
Syed Johan with the help of his right hand man, Salleh (Kak Syam's son in law) supervising the inticate unloading of the king of fruits
Although it was not a school holiday, yet we have got to fulfill three invitations for the ceremonial cutting of their grandchildren’s turf (cukur jambul) and one wedding feast namely:
1. Dato’ Bijaya Indera, Dato’ Paduka Haji Syed Unan Mashri at Rizalia, Pumpong. I believe that his grand son’s name is one the longest in the country i.e. Syed Ahmad Khalish Abqari Shahabudin.
2. Dato’ Haji Abdul Halim bin Hassan’s three grand children at Taman Seri Negeri, Pumpong. @ Maryam Hanum, Muhamad Hanif Taib and Hawa Hanum.
3. Hajjah Faridah Hamid at Taman Mahkota.
4. Wedding feast of Haji Marzuki Ariffin’s son at 2986 A, Lebuhraya Sultanah Bahiyah.
We have to divide our time properly so as not to burden our stomachs unnecessarily. As Kedah is still in the fruiting season, both Dato’ Paduka Syed Unan Mashri and Dato’ Halim serve durians as the desserts. Deserving as the king of fruits, the guests were still clamouring for the durians despite being served with the best of rice such bryani and nasi Arab with mutton prepared Mat Taliban.
