SIBLINGS 79: NAK BALIK DAH AIH

The descendants of Pak Kob would miss the utterance of the famous phrase "Nak balik dah aih" as our beloved Pah Teh Khalid has passed away peacefully at 9.35.pm on Wednesday 29 February 2012 at his house at Lorong Kelompang, Bakar Bata. Let us pray for the blessings of Allah S.W.T. to place the soul of Pak Teh among the faithfuls. Insya Allah

The late Mak Teh has passed away on a peculiar date of 20.11.2011. Her demise was one month after her birthday i.e. on 20.10.2011. Ironically Pak Teh has passed away on another peculiar date 29.02.2012 which was a leap year date in the year 2012. Pak Teh's demise could only be commemorated in 2016. Whereas his demise was also exactly one month to go for his actual birthday which would be on 29.03.2012.

On his birthday last year, the late Pak Teh has commented to Zam that he would not be very sure where he would be for his next birthday. For the purpose of reminiscing his last birthday, herewith is enclosed an extract from the blog Siblings: 69 : Double Cangkuls

"Tuesday, 29 March 2011 was a very significant day for Pak Teh Khalid for he has reached the age of non reversible of 77 years. For the Lotto lovers in the early seventies, 77 was popular known as double hoes or cangkuls. Being Pak Teh who is more famous as an aging child, he kept reminding everybody that he would be 77 on 29 March 2011.

Pak Teh did not even consider the physical and health condition of his spouse, for he also kept reminding Mak Teh about his birthday anniversary. As she could not swallow the barraging of Pak Teh about his birthday, Mak Teh did arranged for a small birthday anniversary at their residence on the evening of 29 March 2011.

It was a very limited birthday anniversary just to appease the aging child. We did converged at Pak Teh’s residence that evening to enjoy the sumptuous food prepared by Mak Teh and her daughter in law, Roslina. To ensure that Pak Teh would enjoy his birthday bash, all his nieces and grand nephews presented him with ang pows. He was really enjoying his birthday celebration that evening with his standard Pagoda T. shirt.."
